Loading a sample file in an unrecognized sample format, or when using the “Import Raw Sample” option opens the Raw Sample Import dialog, where the imported sample format can be specified. In the save dialog, you can then use the variables %sample_number%, %sample_filename% and %sample_name%.

In the S3M and MPTM format, the dropdown menu can also be used to initialize the current sample slot with an FM-synthesized instrument.
